The building kit

The building kit contains one piece of FCM MF 1:14-11 or one piece of FCM FM 1:14-12 Moving Floor System

The building kit contains detailed assembly instructions, all mechanical components for a finished Moving Floor system and the special control for servos.

Aluminum has been chosen for the main structure, primarily due to dead weight.
All the aluminum profiles are anodised to protect against corrosion and to provide a harder surface.
Brass has been chosen to manufacture some of the items for the various components, for the reason that the material itself is corrosion-protected and that the plate items can either be glued or soldered together.
PEHD 1000 has been chosen as friction material.
Galvanized sheet metal has been chosen for the Mobile Wall, due to the central location of weight on the Mobile Wall.
Silicone rubber has been chosen for sealing against the sides of the trailer, as it is a soft material and it is easy to adapt.

Dimensions of the silicone plate is approx. W=200 and H=183. The plate is adapted to the trailer.

Installation in trailer:

The installation of the Moving Floor FCM MF 1:14-11 or FCM MF 1:14-12 requires a minor modification of the trailer's floor, chassis frame and cross members to make room for the bottom frame and the movement control unit.

Holes are cut in the trailer floor for the possibility to blow away dust between the Moving Floor and the trailer floor.

Testing the Moving Floor

Moving Floor is currently tested for unloading ordinary euro pallets, as well as loose goods such as o8 wood pellets, oat grains and hemp seeds.

During test runs with the Moving Floor system, the following indicative speeds are recorded:

Pallets: Loading and unloading approx. 2.5 min.

Loose goods: Unloading approx. 5 minutes depending on the type of goods.

In the real world, you may find that the pallets can "dance" a bit on the spot if they are not pushed forward in connection with the loading. The same applies to the model.

A little weight can be placed on the pallets with advantage.
